Even though the blog isn't updated yet, the Flickr set is up to date (I haven't taken today's shot yet):
I'm ready to catch up! I just have to get the photos from January 29-February 4 out of the camera and into the blog.
Well, except for these, which had to get out there so family in Honolulu could laugh and point at the one who was dumb enough to move away...
Chicago Blizzard 2011 - a set on Flickr
As you can guess, this kept us busy for a few days!

Project 365/28: Freya says "no photos tonight" — she's in a bit of a diva-ish mood. So I'm resorting to this shot from early this morning. The first thing I noticed when I took the dogs outside at around 7:30am was that the moon was still up.

Project 365/27: Axel once again attempts to take over the photo session and the couch. For an AKC Champion with a "look at meeeeeeeeeeeeee!" attitude, he sure is not very photogenic much of the time. Freya is demanding equal time, so tomorrow we'll see whether or not the camera loves her!

Project 365/26: This is life, not art. It's my actual dinner. Dan makes a very tasty chili. I know most people here in the vast midwestern wasteland eat chili with crackers or macaroni or cornbread. Being Asian and from Hawaii, I really didn't think there was any other way to eat it other than over rice. I guess this is also practice for this week's DPS assignment, "Still Life: Food" for which I will need something more photogenic than tasty.

Project 365/25: Axel started out being very suspicious of the DSLR. Now I think he is just a bit bored. Or possibly annoyed because my photographic experiments made him look prematurely grey. I need to work on getting some better lighting in here!

Project 365/24: I'm going to use this as my first attempt at one of Digital Photography School's Weekly Assignments. The assignment is "Spot of Color" and the requirement is a shot that has one area with brighter color that draws the eye. These are the townhouses on Huron Street near my office and an unknown red car.

Project 365/23: I spent the day working on some time-consuming print projects for a dog club I'm involved with. I am definitely guilty of spending too much time on that, and not enough time with the actual resident dogs, or even the photograph of an actual resident dog. Axel, of course, thinks you should just enjoy looking at his beautiful face!

Project 365/22: When the temperature outside struggles to stay above the single digits, the dogs get cabin fever and seem to have forgotten every obedience command they've ever learned. In two languages, no less. That's when I'm glad for Rottweiler figurines and macro settings.
Today's shots were set up on a countertop. I have a few more collectibles and oddities that I'd like to use in Project 365, and more than a few items that I'd like to sell on eBay, so I'm thinking a do-it-yourself lightbox might be a worthwhile project. These instructions at Strobist and these instructions at Digital Photography School seem simple and inexpensive.
